Rating: 4/5 Review: "Sherlock TV series season 1 review" It's a rare time that I have finished watching a TV series. Maybe it's because that season 1 only consists of 3 episodes. One episode is almost like a TV movie lasting for 1 and a half hour. Basically, they are interesting and engrossing episodes. In this, Sherlock Holmes seems to be like a wise-cracking fast-talking and slightly crazy detective which is a kind of different from the recent big-budget movies. The episodes are good so it's hard to say which one is better. But the last episode of the season turns to a more intense ride where Sherlock has to play a fast-paced game with Moriarty and it is a more exciting episode than the rest. Acting wise is good. Although Sherlock can sometimes be an ass, you can't help marvel at his excellent deduction. John Waston is good too. But I don't know what to say about Moriarty. He's different from the big-budget movies. Anyway, he has just appear
Rating: 4.5/5 Review: "The Dark Knight Rises movie review" The wait to the one of the most anticipated movie this year is finally over. And how's it? It is a good conclusion to Nolan's trilogy. Although, this is the third movie in the trilogy, the movie takes its time showing Bruce's hesitation before donning the batman suit again. Everything in this movie seems to be amp up whether or not it is the action or explosion or destruction. It features the best action scenes featured in a Batman movie. Though overlong, it is tense and meaningful and touching at some points and packed with some great action scenes. The story: Those who are eager to see Batman in the first half and hour will be disappointed as Bruce hesitates to don his suit but they will at least be glad to see some action from Bane and Selina Kyle known as     Catwoman. The movie opens to a thrilling airplane jacking by Bane and his gang. And in the first half and hour, we also get to s

Its pace is noticeably fast and points are skimmed through, there isn't much of details of the plot. There are actually a lot of things to packed in this movie but with the runtime of 1 hour and 45 minutes, it is impossible to put all the details in. It is not long before the stylized action kicks in. Although it has its flaws, I enjoyed it for what it is. The story: It is basically a revenge movie where a young Abraham saw his mother killed by a vampire and when he gets older, he goes on a killing vampire spree searching for the one who killed his mother. Meanwhile he finds love and eventually becomes a president. It sounds like there are so many things to show on screen. But the director chose to go with the fast-pace and skimmed through the things. Scenes will be brief; not many are extended. Action helps to make it
Rating: 4.4/5 Review: "The Amazing Spider-Man 3D IMAX movie review" This is the reboot which the director and producers want it to be more realistic and gritty. Yeah, it is more serious than Sam's trilogy and it's more entertaining. Although this is a retelling of Peter Parker getting his extraordinary powers, it is a lot more entertaining than Sam's first Spider-Man movie. It is packed with more things but thankfully, it moves with a brisk pace. The story: Though this is a retelling, there're things being changed. In fact, almost everything is changed from the way how Peter gets his powers to his uncle Ben dying. Heck, I don't even remember the famous line, "Great power comes with great responsibility" in this reboot. With the runtime of 2 hours and 16 minutes, you can be sure that the movie will take its characters' development seriously. With Marc's background of directing a romance movie, this also has the heart and the roma
