Rating: 4/5 Review: "How to Train Your Dragon movie review" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am surprised I would enjoy this more than I thought I would. The 3D is also quite good. DreamWork movies keep improving. I like this better than its last movie, Monsters Vs Aliens. With an epic score by John Power, cute dragons and cool 3D, nothing can go wrong. Well, the plot does engage me too. I am surprised by its little time on dwelling with emotions as what Pixar/DreamWork movies usually do, instead it goes for the action-packed adventure with slapstick. The 3D are at my standards. It is not very mind-blowing but it is cool. With 3D action in front of your face. Wow, is that amazing? Why should it not? 3D movies are the trend. There are more 3D movies releasing like Clash of Titans, Tron Legacy etc. obviously there are many more. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Quick DVD Reviews Rating: 3.5/5 Review: "Transporter 2 DVD review" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It is fast-paced with some cool action scenes. DVD special features-3.4/5 It has long deleted and extended scenes (20 minutes) which show some background information, small details and more action. It is worth a watch. The making of (4 minutes) is a short one with the usual interviews and behind the scenes. Nothing special and it is short for any interesting information. Surprisingly, the featurette on the music (10 minutes) is longer than the making of. I have no idea what the eng dub version is talking about. The over-lapping of the english dub on the original french version is horrible. It does not follow the mouths. Lastly, there are previews (3 minutes), one is on Night Watch. ``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Rating: 3.3/5 Review: "Universial Soldiers Regeneration DVD
Rating: 4.1/5 Review: "Alice In Wonderland 3D movie review" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am kind of surprised I enjoyed this 3D movie. I actually did not expect much from Tim Burton's movie. I may the only one who is not very interested in his movies. This just pipe my interest as I am interested in seeing how his version of Alice will be like. I went to see it with low expectations and instead I enjoyed it. The 3D effect has helped to enhance the movie by giving the feeling of places in the movie. The story: It is sort of a sequel but Tim said it is not. So whether it is sequel or not, I look at it as a stand-alone movie. I like his version of Alice, the pace is brisk and I did not feel bored (The 3D helps). I find this more engaging than the cartoon by Disney too and one of the TV apdatation. The characters here are more likable. As the usual Tim's movies, this movie is a little dark with some intense
Quick DVD Reviews Rating: 3.3/5 Review: "Amalfi DVD review" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The first half of the 2 hours and 4 minutes movie is a little slow which was kind of disappointing, I expected a fast-paced thriller from reading the summary. Luckily, the last half moves in fast pace and is exciting. Overall: Because of the first half, the plot kind of drags which makes it less enjoyable but still entertains. DVD special features-0/5 As usual from a Japanese movie DVD, it features nothing. That I don't mind but even the quality is not very good. It is like the standard of a VCD. The english subtitles are embedded onto the movie...This is definitely not a good effort made. `````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Rating: 3.5/5 Review: "Zombieland DVD review" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I feel
