Rating: 3.7/5 Review: "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters 3D movie review" It is a pretty straight-forward action flick. With the short runtime of 1 hour and 28 minutes, you can expect this to move briskly and to be packed with a lot of action. The story: The movie starts with the young Hansel and Gretel losing their parents. They are shortly picked by a witch to be food. They manage to escape and burn the witch alive and that's how they become witch hunter. Cue to the opening credit. The next scene shows them saving an innocent woman whom is accused of being a witch. And from there, the action keeps going. There are some slight twists about the innocent woman and Hansel and Gretel's parents. Other than that, it is purely straight-forward for a good thing. The action scenes are not bad but they are more gritty than fantastical. Music wise is quite alright with Han Zimmer acting as the music supervisor. 3D: It is okay. Rating: 3.8/5 Review: "Black & White: Episode 1: The dawn of assault Blu Ray review" This is a big budget adaptation of the popular Taiwan TV series: Black & White. As clearly stated, people have no need to know about the characters in the TV series as this movie is some sort of a prequel. The movie does pack a lot of action and push the standard of Taiwan action movies high. The story: It may be overlong at times; the director's cut clocks at 2 hours and 37 minutes. It may be too noisy for some people; it has loads of action and explosions. But it pretty much delivers in its action department. Story wise is okay. There are a lot of things happening too. The director's cut adds about 13 more minutes to the theatrical cut but I could not see a lot of new footage. The noticeable new footage is a newly added side plot. Best and Worst of 2012 The end of the year has passed. 2012 has shown a lot of good movies and is a much better year than in 2011. Let's see if 2013 can top 2012 as 2013 will also see many blockbusters and sequels and other movies. Best:   1. The Avenger-It is a great superhero movie. It has great action and ,at the same time, an interesting story. You see superheroes learning to accept one another. 2. The Dark Knight Rises-The end is here and it ends with a bang. It features the best action ever seen in a Batman movie. It also has the moral story which is interesting to watch although it is a little too long. 3. Skyfall-Could be the best James Bond movie; rivaling Casino Royale. It does have great action and a thrilling story. How will the next James Bond movie beat it? Rating: 3.8/5 Review: "Jack Reacher movie review" This is based on the 9th book, One Shot. Somehow it is weird seeing the 9th book being adapted as the first  movie of Jack Reacher. It is even said that there may be a movie franchise. Other than that, this movie does not really introduce the character a lot but you will have a sense of what Jack Reacher does. Tom Cruise does okay for the titular character although I don't know if he is faithful to the books. This is a decently paced thriller with a hint of action. The story: The movie opens up with 5 random people being shot. Then someone is framed for the kills and he writes a name that confuses the police. Jack Reacher. Jack soon appears in an usual time and there you go. One thing good about this movie is the pace. It never gets boring and the pace is decent with thrills and slight twists lurching around. The mystery story could have been better. Clearly, this is classified as thriller and not action so action
