Rating : 3.8/5 Review : "I, Frankenstein 3D movie review" It has a shockingly low 5% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. I, Frankenstein does not deserve the overwhelming negative reviews from critics and audience alike. It looks like it is one of the worst movies of 2014 and the year has only just began. With the lowered expectations in the beginning, I walked out of the cinema entertained. The story: It is just as straight-foward and generic as a Direct-To-DVD movie can be. The Frankenstein 's monster, Adam, is in the middle of a battle between Gargoyles and Demons. The result is an action-packed movie filled with nifty special effects. The action scenes are many and decently choreographed. The CGI is decent with the moderate budget of US$65 million. Music is good and fits the tone of the movie. Acting wise is okay. Bill Nighy acts as his usual self as a villain. Aaron Eckhart has not much of a role to emote feelings as an emotionless monster except to fight and show o
Rating: 4/5 Review: "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 3D movie review" This has received better reviews from the critics and it is easy to see why. This packs more action and thrills with a faster pace. The first movie of the trilogy is excused to have a slower pace as it is the beginning of a journey. The Desolation of Smaug makes up for the first by starting the story straight away and goes straight into the adventure and action. The story: The journey continues and to be frank, I have no idea how Peter Jackson, the director, can turn a short story into three 2 and a half hour movies. This movie is clear that there isn't actually a lot of things going on. It is just extended action scenes shown after one another. However, I enjoyed the action scenes a lot. The notable action scene is the extended escape with barrels on the river. Ending this movie with a cliffhanger may prove that this trilogy is running out of steam and I hope not. I hope the third movie wi
Best and Worst of 2013 Best 1. Man of Steel I know this has mixed reviews but I have to admit this has one of the best action ever seen in a superhero movie. Its action scenes and destructions have set the bench-mark in the action department of superhero movies. But it is not all-that perfect, there are some problems like it being too gritty and its long runtime. 2. Oblivion This also has mixed reviews. It sees Tom Cruise back in action. The first hour is engaging and tense before its second hour which veers into the familiar territory. However it is still a massively enjoyable ride with an excellent music score accompanying it. 3. Pacific Rim Guillermo del Toro's latest outing features giants robots battling monsters. Sure, it is generic as hell but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it a lot. Plus, the 3D is good and immerses me into the world Guillermo has created. 2013 has many other great movies. All of the superhero movies (Thor: The Dark World, The Wolverin
