Review: "Amalfi DVD review"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first half of the 2 hours and 4 minutes movie is a little slow which was kind of disappointing, I expected a fast-paced thriller from reading the summary. Luckily, the last half moves in fast pace and is exciting. Overall: Because of the first half, the plot kind of drags which makes it less enjoyable but still entertains.

As usual from a Japanese movie DVD, it features nothing. That I don't mind but even the quality is not very good. It is like the standard of a VCD. The english subtitles are embedded onto the movie...This is definitely not a good effort made.

Review: "Zombieland DVD review"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I feel the movie is over-rated. It is not the best horror/comedy movie. The fact is it entertains with amusing jokes (some are lame) and there are action with zombies. With its short runtime (thankfully, it is short or it will become boring), the pace moves briskly along with four characters finding a place in the world of zombies.

There are two featurettes. One featurette is about the casting of the stars (15 minutes). The actors/actresses tell about their experiences in making the movie. Kind of interesting. The second featurette is more of the making of the movie (11 minutes). There are boring deleted scenes (5 minutes) which are not very amusing. There is a short behind the scenes (4 minutes). For some of the scenes, surprisingly, they used green screen. Boring Promo trailers which is used to advertise the movie. Lastly, the trailers (12 minutes)

Review: "The Covenant DVD review"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The supernatural thriller is interesting. It has a mix of thriller, supernatural and action. The final showdown is cool with the two main characters blasting at each others. It starts with the thrills (although it is not very thrilling) and supernatural and ends off with an epic showdown. I need a sequel.

There is a featurette (18 minutes) which is interesting as it covers interviews with the cast and crew and at the same time shows some behind the scenes. It also covers on the special effects. Two trailers (2 minutes) including its own trailer round off the special features. The special features may not be many but it is informative.

Review: "Devilman DVD review"
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This live-action movie has been attacked by fans who say it does not resemble its original source. It is considered one of the worst movie in Japan but I don't think so. I may find it entertaining as I am not a Devilman fan. I must agree with the fans who say that the acting is shit. I laughed at the characters screaming, so fake and no emotions. The special effects are not bad considered it is a Japanese movie made in 2004.

The Hong Kong edition does not even contain its own trailer. Special features aside, the quality of the movie is sharp and clear. The USA has special features, what a pity.

Rating: 4.5/5 Review: "Man of Steel movie review" With all the hype from the trailers, I must say this is what it looks to be expected. I have to say that this is the biggest and epic superhero movie yet. This treats destructions like child's play. It is also the most explosive superhero movie. There are so much explosions that they could literally make you exhausted from watching all those. Although this is directed by Zack Snyder, this does not have much of his trademark except the visuals. His slo-mo trademark is not featured. Instead, the action is rapid fast. Man of Steel is a good entertainment with exciting action scenes and visuals but at the same, a somehow touching human drama. The story: We get an extended opening scene on Krypton where Kal-El is just born. However the planet is going to be destroyed with General Zod adding to the problem. To save Kal-El, he has to be sent to another planet known as Earth. What is interesting about the movie that it do...
Rating: 3.5/5 Review: Taken DVD review Taken is a new action movie that makes the audiences want more hard and gritty action flicks. I can see that now. Taken has the drama (Yawn!) and the realistic action (Like the Borne movies). Clocking at only 1 and a half hour, the movie starts off slow with drama. After half and hour pass, it goes straight to the intensity and non-stop realistic action. I don't like the slow start. As it is only 1 and a half hour, it do not have the time for slow characters' development. It should drive straight to the action, unless it clocks around 2 hours. The story: It seems to be the usual kidnapping movies where the bad guys kidnap some random girl/boy and ask for ransom. But in this, they kidnap young women to become sex-slaves. A father of a kidnapped daughter is enraged and goes to Paris where his daughter is. "I will find you! I will kill you!" He says to the bad guys. He starts punching and kicking people to hell. He kicks men's b...
Rating: 3.5/5 Review: "From Vegas To Macau 2 movie review" "Loads of fun in Wong Jing's bigger sequel." Wong Jing is back with more madness, action, explosion and a longer runtime. As every sequel tries to top its original in every way, From Vegas To Macau 2 is no different. Lots of explosion, lots of wacky humour and more CGI, if these are your entertainment, the movie will do you no wrong. From the opening gun fight to the CGI climax, the story is kept brisk to keep your attention in check. The story: Chow Yun-fat is back as the titular gambler, Ken, with the magic hand. This time, the movie exaggerates his skills with CGI poker cards until it almost becomes a fantasy. But that's to be expected in a Wong Jing's movie. This time, the location is shifted to Thailand where Mark (Nick Cheung), an accountant in a money-laundering syndicate, DOA, is chased by Interpol and DOA. Ken has to save him and help his protege, Vincent (Shawn Yue). Wong Ji...
