Review: Taken DVD review

Taken is a new action movie that makes the audiences want more hard and gritty action flicks. I can see that now. Taken has the drama (Yawn!) and the realistic action (Like the Borne movies). Clocking at only 1 and a half hour, the movie starts off slow with drama. After half and hour pass, it goes straight to the intensity and non-stop realistic action. I don't like the slow start. As it is only 1 and a half hour, it do not have the time for slow characters' development. It should drive straight to the action, unless it clocks around 2 hours.

The story: It seems to be the usual kidnapping movies where the bad guys kidnap some random girl/boy and ask for ransom. But in this, they kidnap young women to become sex-slaves. A father of a kidnapped daughter is enraged and goes to Paris where his daughter is. "I will find you! I will kill you!" He says to the bad guys. He starts punching and kicking people to hell. He kicks men's balls, slams their heads and chop their necks till they cannot move their necks

Overall: It is nothing special but it has the heart. Those looking for some action thrillers, this one should pipe some interest. I heard that they are making a part two, a sequel. I wonder how are they going to do that? Find another father who knows how to kick people in the balls?

DVD special features- Rating: 3/5

Some making of (18 minutes), some I-Don't-Know-What-The-Hell-They-Are-Taking (5 minutes)-About clips like featuring the stunts in the movie, practising maybe. How the heck can I understand it when they are french? A boring premiere (4 minutes), yawn.

Best and Worst movies of 2011 2011 is over! It sees many good movies so it was kind of tricky to list the best 4 movies of 2011. It had been a good year for movies. Let's see if 2012 is any better. 1.Transformers: Dark of the Moon Rating: 4.5/5 It is one of the best 3D movie ever. It has cool action, great 3D and robots. It may be the final Transformers for Michael Bay. Only thing that can be improved is that rushed out ending. Other than that, it could be 2011 best action movie. 2.Sucker Punch Rating: 4.5/5 It is sad to see the critics slamming this movie. I find its presentation kind of cool and unique. Rating: 3.9/5 Review: "Iron Man 2 DVD review" Well, for me, it is kind of disappointing. Seeing the lack of action and three short action scenes disappoints me as this movie has been reported to have a higher budget than the first one. Another thing disappointing is the pace. The pace in the first Iron Man movie is intense, it is filled with intense moments and quirky humour. This one's pace is slower with all the melodrama of Tony trying to live his "broken" life as he thinks he will soon die. And he starts being an ass, some drunk ass, and blah blah....
