Review: "House of Wax 2005 DVD review"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The remake is an okay slasher movie, actually, it is suspenseful of times but I feel that the story took a bit of time to get into the main point. I guess almost horror movies do that, spending at least half and hour with the young and sexy characters doing stuffs before going to the main point/story. House of Wax is not too bad, the pace is decent and bearable. The Singapore edition is somehow edited; the Paris Hilton's death appears to be cut for a NC-16 rating. I think some other things are cut too.

There is a long bloopers with cast commentary (27 minutes) which is pretty interesting to watch. The cast comment and laugh on the funny things they did while filming. Some stuff are amusing. You get a gag reel (4 minutes) which is almost like a summary version of the bloopers. There is one making of (7 minutes) which shows behind the scenes of the filming and building and discussing about the sets; the wax house. A pointless featurette on Joel, the producer, talking about the other movies he produced (1 minute). A pointless deleted scene (2 minutes) which shows the first kill in the movie. Finally, a trailer of the movie.

Review: "Taxi 2004 DVD review"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another remake. One of the few remakes which I have also watched the original. The remake is not so bad as what people are blasting about. True, some of the CGI like the red car spinning in the alley is disturbingly fake but in the end, it entertains. I don't actually find it the least funny; Jimmy Fallon is trying too hard to get some laughters let alone giggles. The action is not bad, the female model criminals are hot and the pace is zippy. That is all what this movie can offer. A senseless entertainment.

There is a making of (20 minutes), the usual one with the usual behind the scenes and interviews. There is a special show, Reel Comedy (20 minutes) where two men interviews the main actor and actresses in a taxi??!!! Those men knows how to keep a straight face while Jimmy is always bursting into laughter. There is a short featurette on using the blue screen. Another is about Fallon taking the camera man around the set. He seems more funnier in real life than in the movie. Deleted scenes (4 minutes) which are pointless. The last featurette is pointless; about the women models (2 minutes). It is not even a real behind the scene stuff.

Review: "Eagle Eye Blu-ray DVD review"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is somehow still thrilling to watch this though I have watched it before in cinema. The action is cool; cars smashing into cars, the pace is speedy and the music is rocking. No idea why many critics dislike this saying that it is a bit over-the-top. Of course, it is. It is a sci-fi fictional action thriller. D.J Caruso is one of the promising new director. His next action flick is I am number four which will be out in 24 Feb 2011.
Blu-ray DVD special features-3.5/5
There are deleted scenes (4 minutes). The only notable one is the alternative ending. That's all. There is the main making of (25 minutes) which is the usual. There are three short featurettes (15 minutes). The notable featurette is 'Is my cellphone spying on me?'. The producers discussing that they wanted to keep the story as realistic as possible and it could happen now or in future. A interview between the director and his mentor (9 minutes). Both of them interview each other, asking about how they film stuff. An amusing gag reel (7 minutes) where actors and actresses fumbles with their lines and action. A pointless photo gallery. A trailer of the movie.

Review: "Into the blue Blu-ray DVD review"
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Paul Walker and Jessica Alba star in this sexy movie. The movie does not really have much of a plot except finding the treasures but the cast makes the movie more bearable. The great sea with the sharks filming is also worth mentioning.
Blu-ray DVD special features-3/5
There is a simple making of (20 minutes) which is the usual. There are deleted scenes (18 minutes) which are blah. Both of them are in standard version; the screen is small.

Rating: 3.6/5 Review: "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D season 2 TV review" Season 2 has improved greatly. Starting straight from the massive cliffhanger in season 1, season 2 is more tense, action-packed, darker and better paced. I think season 1 took its time to introduce its characters before diving into the action. The time is spread out to individual characters' development. More twists and turns make the season a stark improvement. Episode 1-22: Skye has discovered her powers and is learning how to cope with it. Meanwhile, the team has its problems. Coulson seems to be hiding secrets. In fact, everybody has secrets. More powers are unleashed. It is a little surprising that Marvel is bold enough to veer the series to a darker tone by amping up the number of deaths and more violence. The whole season has little humour and moves at a brisk pace without really pausing. As the tension between human and superhuman increases by each episode, it is an exciting season that w
Rating: 3.5/5 Review: "From Vegas To Macau 2 movie review" "Loads of fun in Wong Jing's bigger sequel." Wong Jing is back with more madness, action, explosion and a longer runtime. As every sequel tries to top its original in every way, From Vegas To Macau 2 is no different. Lots of explosion, lots of wacky humour and more CGI, if these are your entertainment, the movie will do you no wrong. From the opening gun fight to the CGI climax, the story is kept brisk to keep your attention in check. The story: Chow Yun-fat is back as the titular gambler, Ken, with the magic hand. This time, the movie exaggerates his skills with CGI poker cards until it almost becomes a fantasy. But that's to be expected in a Wong Jing's movie. This time, the location is shifted to Thailand where Mark (Nick Cheung), an accountant in a money-laundering syndicate, DOA, is chased by Interpol and DOA. Ken has to save him and help his protege, Vincent (Shawn Yue). Wong Ji
Rating: 4/5 Review: "The Hobbit: An unexpected Journey 3D movie review" This is the highly anticipated prequel to The Lords of the Ring movies. As a stand alone movie, it does pretty well to engage audiences with its great special effects and fantasy creatures. I cannot compare this with the first trilogy as I can hardly remember it although I will catch it later. But as it seems, this is more lighter than the serious first trilogy. Sure this has its fair share of intense battles but this is more light-heart. The story: With a runtime of 2 hours and 49 minutes, you can be sure that this will take its sweet time to get the adventure going which is true. After a brief action-packed introduction, the movie moves slower. The first half and hour sees a hobbit's unwillingness to go for an adventure as the other dwarves plan to steal their treasures and take what is rightfully theirs. After the hobbit agrees, the fantasy adventure starts and following it are dangers.
